Jamaica Has the Best Politicians in the World

This gallery contains 2 photos.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Jamaica has had politicians who should be studies for those inept new comers to the political sphere who suffer from an incessant need to tell the truth, uplift the poor and just be a person with some moral stature. From the 1960′s when a group of … Continue reading

Everald Warmington, What Does He Want?

Ever since Everald Warmingtons astonishing outbursts in parliament I’ve been keeping a keen eye on this man. From what I’ve seen he seems to a very independent member of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).

He has proven time and time again that he is alide to no one and only interested in making sure his voice is heard. The recent fiasco in which he had sent letters to the courts challenging the legitimacy of the nominations of members of the party to Deputy Leader shows he  cares what no one thinks.

Christopher Tufton, Audley Shaw and Desmond Mckenzie were all listed in Warmington’s papers which he had pulled shortly before they were to be heard in court. It is reported that communications with party leader Andrew Holness had lead to the withdrawal, but the question as to be asked. With all this public engagement in party issues and water from dirty laundry being splashed on on lookers faces, the question is what is the motive, what exactly does he want or plan to achieve?

According to Mr. Warmington he is on an unapologetic quest to ensure that the law is upheld. The polical chiches are numerous in Mr. Warmington. However it is abundantly obvious that this man yearns the spotlight and is out for power hoping that public recognition of who he is will help him on his journey.

And so yet again the JLP has failed to keep party matters private, the public display of disunity which kept them out of power for an amazing 18  years seem to have only festered and is gradually secreting vile pus in the form of Mr. Warmington.

Cheeky, isn’t he

Busy Signal has been released from Jail

Busy Signal has finally been released from US custody and is back in Jamaica, lets just hope the man stays free.

The “Nah Go a Jail Again” singer has finally been released and is back in Jamaica.

The entertainer arrived on November 16th after completing his jail sentence in the United States for absconding bail.

In September, Busy whose real name is Glendale Gordon, was sentenced to six months behind bars for absconding bail on drug charges dating back to 2002.

However, the artiste only served 60 days after he was given credit for the four months he had been in custody after he was extradited from Jamaica.

His US-based attorney had said he had no concern that prosecutors would seek to reinstate drug charges against the entertainer because the Extradition Treaty would not allow for this.

General Petraeus and Expectations

Commander Gen. David Petraeus poses with his biographer Paula Broadwell

By now the amazingly complexed love pentagon of General Petraeus has infiltrated all crevasse and corners of the American media and the backlash is fierce and unyielding. But why such an outcry, what does  Potus have to do with this and does anyone remember Bill?

Why all the ruckus? Well General David Howell Petraeus is one of the most decorated military figures in American history and he is celebrated, loved and respected. So much so that he was chosen as head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and was in line to hold top position in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). With all these accolades Mr. Petraeus takes on a vulnerability that most of us can’t imagine. That is to maintain a respectable existence while under the social scope.

You may be saying, “that’s easy”. But just think about your own and the lives of the people around you. How well have they been coping with the rigores of being a human being?

There are reports that military secrets were on Paula Broadwell not to mention the fact that General John Allen and Jill Kelley who is tied to both men who are involved.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) – Broadwell is at the center of a national sex scandal that has ended the career of retired four-star general Petraeus and now threatens that of General Allen. The affair between Broadwell and Petraeus was first uncovered after threatening messages were sent to 37-year-old Jill Kelley, wherein Broadwell told her to cool her friendship with Petraeus.

Broadwell also sent emails using the pseudonym “KelleyPatrol” warning General Allen about Kelley the “seductress” – sources say that these emails were lewd and solicitous, in the manner of “phone sex.”

General Allen, who is married who two daughters, denies any wrongdoing. Officials claim his emails to Kelley, who is also married with children, were simply friendly and not “inappropriate” or flirtatious.

However, sources have told Fox News that the emails between the pair were so explicit that they could be compared to “the equivalent of phone sex over email.”

What about Barack Obama how does he fit in, well Obama was the one who hired the guy. So he is in the mix.

We should all take time out to reflect on events of the past and see how others have navigated political turmoil. Bill Clinton was a politician who managed and used high expectations to his advantage. In the midst of seemingly certain annihilation he didn’t lose his composure nor the gaul to look America in the eye and say, ” I did not have sexual relations with that woman…” – Genius

What Bill didn’t lose sight of was the fact that he was a politician and when in crisis you do what politicians do best and Bill Clinton did it best.  I’m not saying these guys should lie, but instead they should keep calm and speak as though they deserved their ranks. The people will do the rest.

Obama, Petraeus, Allen just think, what would Bill Clinton do?

*on a side note. Don’t get caught up in the media frenzy, keep your eyes open and use your expectations of particular figures to scrutinize their actions. Don’t march with popularized ignorance. Remember independence is freedom.
